fraying beneath jagged-edged words
that fall soundly onto computer keys,
clattering like a dropped box of nails.

Wrapped in straight-jackets or words,
both hear the voices that whisper to them alone.
The only two who know why the raven is like a writing-desk

& the only ones who question it.
