Jellyfish

you told me you felt lost
not lost like a broken compass
but like a jellyfish
soft and directionless
and I said
to be a jellyfish
is a miracle
because the ocean
will drown the roots
that reach for you
and when you’re ready
you can always find a way home
and even if you can’t
you’ll still be soft and brave
so stay lost
little jellyfish
