Ronald McGuire is a novelist, poet, scriptwriter, and journalist. His work has/will appear in Catalyst Magazine (Athens, GA), Flash Fiction Magazine, The Dillydoun Review, Drunk Monkeys, The Dead Mule School of Southern Literature, CNN.com, and a few other places.
Ronald holds degrees in Comparative Literature and in Journalism from the University of Georgia, where he studied literature under the world-renowned anti-apartheid activist and author Mbulelo Vizikhungo Mzamane and the accomplished scriptwriter Howard Berk, both of whom advised him to stay out of journalism. Turns out, they were right.
Ronald is the author of “Happy Holidays! The Charlie Barnes Experience, Volume 1,” writing as C.R. Barnes, as well as two as yet unpublished science fiction novels, “Oculus 12” and “Beyond Tomorrow’s Sun.”
Ronald is also a veteran of the streaming media industry, having spent his career at the forefront of developments in digital content strategy, production, delivery, and monetization.
In previous lives, he was a bartender, bookstore owner, and inventor. Ronald enjoys beaches, rescue dogs, local beer, hearty meals, and talking about himself in the third person.
